Jeff & Jodi Andrysick, farmers turned filmmakers of All Fracked Up and Water Isn't Water Anymore, their activism against fracking resulted in Jeff & Jodi being labeled eco-terrorists; co-organizers of the Pulteney Rebellion. Chris Applegate, Worked in college food service administration and marketing for 20 years and she currently teaches food safety at Cornell. She has been the chef/owner of two area restaurants/ She co-chairs the Cortland County Legislature Agriculture Promotion Committee, chairs the food strand of the Sustainable Cortland Team and is a vendor/manager at Virgil's Farmer's Market. She regularaly presents on the subjects of Local Foods, Food Safety, and Gas Drilling for many groups in the region and New York City. Jannette Barth, Ph.D., President of J.M. Barth & Associates, Inc., an economic research and consulting firm. As a landowner in Delaware County, NY, in the Marcellus Shale region, Dr. Barth became interested in the economic and environmental impacts of gas drilling using hydraulic fracturing techniques. Dr. Barth authored a report, "Unanswered Questions About the Economic Impact of Gas Drilling in the Marcellus Shale: Don't Jump to Conclusions." Her work in this area is entirely self-funded. Dr. Barth is also involved with Catskill Citizens for Safe Energy. Stephen Cleghorn, Ph.D., Organic farmer; Ph.D. in Sociology; writer, researcher and activist for a drilling moratorium. His 50-acre farm is a split-estate threatened by drilling. Elisabeth Cowley , Master of Ceremonies, a Scandinavian native, With a main concern being the protection of clean water, organic gardening, the area's pristine beauty and warm, friendly people are closest to her heart. Elisabeth works through "Clean Water or Not" on informing the public about hydrofracking. Bette Ek, Vice-President of People For A Healthy Environment and Associate Professor Emerita, Elmira College. Robert Howarth, Ph.D., Cornell University professor, elaborates on fracked gas being as dirty as mountaintop coal removal Art Hunt, fifth generation co-owner of Hunt Country Vineyards. Barb Jarmoska, lives on 20 unleased acres in the Loyalsock State Forest region on PA — an area that has been called the "Marcellus Sacrifice Zone"; life-long environmental activist, teacher, business owner, and writer; serves on the Board of Directors of the Responsible Drilling Alliance, a grassroots group. Chris Kansco, Master of Ceremonies, a life-long Finger Lakes resident, active community volunteer, and long time Planning Board member. She has been focusing on organizing and presenting informational seminars on hydrofracking in her community over the last year. | Janet Burgan: Singer/songwriter, peace and environmental activist. She will sing "No Fracking Way." Jayne and Bram Pomplas: Competing at the prestigious All-Ireland Fleadh in Cavan, Ireland, played with The Chieftains. LRevolution is a hip hop artist / community mobilizer. He was born in Washington Heights and raised in the Bronx, NY. Growing up in one of the worst neighborhoods of the city, LRevolution started to see the world in a new light and came to the conclusion that it is time to change things for the better. He is a young man expressing his insight on life through lyrics and musical compositions that excite the soul and dazzle human reasoning with paradoxical patterns of thought. He will solo "Anti Frack" and also perform "Dirty Bombs" with B.B. Beatriz Ramirez ("Dirty Bombs" lyrics written by Jeff Andrysick and LRevolution.) B.B. Beatriz Ramirez: the better of two cultures has fused and become one to create the smooth, Jazzy interlude called B.B. Beatriz Ramirez. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, to a Cuban Father and a Dominican Mother, her early childhood was filled with daily musical doses of Soul, Spanish classics and Caribbean music — but it was Jazz that caught and held the young B.B.'s attention. To date B.B. has headlined and added backup vocals for many Jazz cover bands in and around the New York metro area. Presently B.B. is involved with several projects that will showcase her flair for Smooth Jazz and Neo-Soul. She will perform "Dirty Bombs" with LRevolution. Lisa Wright will perform "Don't Go Frackin' Round In My Backyard" and "Lady Marcellus" (Lyrics by Jeff Andrysick and Lisa Wright) with Uncle Joe & the Rosebud Ramblers. Wendy Woods is an advocate for personal and planetary wellness who sings passionately to awaken our hearts to our role within the sacred Web of Life. She'll perform "Wait, Don't Touch the Water" and "Crazy for Being Shortsighted." |
